OUR MISSION

Thousands of children wish every day for a miracle to happen. They wish they didn’t have to go through all the sufferings in life. They desire to receive fair treatment by society because they are vulnerable to abuse, exploitation, starvation, and diseases due to lack of care and attention. For such children, the future always seems to be bleak. They are forced to choose pathways from which there is no turning back. Such children end up being criminals, street workers, or homeless for the rest of their lives.

Enerda believes that all children are innocent and deserve to be properly fed, treated well, and have equal opportunities, same as their privileged counterparts. Therefore, special attention needs to be given to underprivileged children of society.

Despite Local and international agencies that address such issues on a large scale, there are still many children left out in the open, waiting their future to be changed. Due to the complexity of the issue, it is difficult to cater to this matter. Therefore, every privileged individual has to play their part. All those who have been honored with the blessings of life and are fortunate enough must give back to society. This is what Enerda stands for.

⦁ We recognize that children face such turbulent times primarily in the absence of mothers; if not, they do not have caregivers or guardians in their lives.

⦁ Due to the absence of free or affordable child care services in Ethiopia, it becomes difficult for mothers to find better employment opportunities. Hence, the cycle of poverty keeps running.

In this regard, Enerda strives to play an integral role in children’s rights of access to food, shelter, education, and other necessities of life. Our efforts are made to help children sustain their life over time. Therefore, Enerda collaborates with Local NGOs and works on a sustainable model that supports single mothers and their children to become self-sufficient and independent earners.

Currently, Enerda has made joint efforts with two Local NGOs to work on a sustainability model of families living below the poverty line. Our efforts are made to ensure children have a bright future, and a self-supporting system is established over a short period of time.

Offer mothers assistance in finding employment opportunities that make them self-sufficient and financially independent to support their families.
